Matthew Brotmann

candidate for Town justice

CANDIDATE BIO

Matthew Brotmann is a first-time candidate seeking to serve as Town Justice in a seat formerly occupied by Judge Regina Kelly, who passed away earlier this year after serving as Town Justice for more than two decades. Matt has had a distinguished legal career and will bring to the bench a strong understanding of the inner workings of local town and village justice systems. He served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked in the local courts and investigations divisions. He was appointed Special Advisor on Policy and Public Information to the New York State Attorney General’s Office under now Governor Cuomo. He has tackled complex legal projects as the Assistant General Counsel to the MTA Bridge and Tunnels and as Principal Attorney to the New York Power Authority. Matt has served as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater Pace University School of Law. Matt also has an extensive record of community service in Town including volunteering as coach for Pound Ridge flag football, basketball, and baseball; volunteering annually for Pound Ridge Harvest Fest; and serving for the past 5 years on the Town’s Board of Ethics and Chairman of the Board of Ethics for the past 2 years.
